I was recently asked to describe my writing space for a story about writers and where they write, and it occurred to me that Lucy fans might also be interested. Laptops changed everything for me, like most writers, as I can now write wherever I happen to be. My favorite place to write, however, is at the beautiful table my brother in law, Leon Long, made for me. It’s a narrow table that fits along one wall of my living room. The idea was that I could use it for writing but, if I had guests for dinner, I could put the laptop and writing stuff away and use it as a sideboard since it is next to a round table that usually holds books and a plant but can seat four. This arrangement works brilliantly!
I have a nice collection of things on the table: a blue and white Chinese lamp that I think is very beautiful, a Lustre ware jug and a marmalade jar to hold pens, pretty boxes for scrap paper and paper clips, a calendar made by my friend Anne Toole, and photos of my grandkids. Two old picnic baskets picked up at estate sales sit under the table and hold files. All these odd bits and pieces give me joy!
I’m a morning person so after I do my mobility workout I settle down underneath a fabulous print of Renoir’s “The Luncheon of the Boating Party” and get to work for a couple of hours. I just finished working on a copyedit of “Irish Coffee Murder,” which will come out next spring. “Mother of the Bride Murder” is also in the publication process, and my current project’s working title is “Crazy Quilt Murder.”

You may also find her books at most local public libraries.
I imagine you have found this by now but wanted to tell you that I am pretty sure you can find this and many books on Amazon.
I have been a fan for many many years. Life happened & I got so far behind on the series. I faithfully bought & read each 1! I have picked back up in the past few years & now I’m stuck & can’t find book #20 in paperback. Can you please guide me on where to purchase this. I had in the past believe I bought directly through Kensington but as you can see I’m behind. I have to say I’m not a reader & these are the only books I have read & like to read. You by far have got me reading all these yrs! Please help me find my next book!
